Where can I recycle? »

Your local recycling centre should recycle TV and Computer Monitors. Alternatively contact your local authority and ask if they will collect it from your house – some local authorities may charge for this service.

Can it be reused?

  • If electrical goods still work why don’t you advertise them on websites such as Freecycle or Gumtree. Some charity shops will also accept electrical goods, as long as they have a way of testing that the items are safe;
  • If you have a tv or computer that still works why don’t you donate it to a local school or community organisation?

Can I do anything else with it?

  • Try advertising in your local paper, community Hall or post office;
  • Lots of charities will make use of your unwanted computer equipment – have a look on the internet.
