PLASTIC CHOCOLATE AND SWEET TUBS

Plastic tubs are widely recycled

Plastic chocolate and sweet tubs – like used those for Mars’ Celebrations, Cadbury’s Heroes, Nestle’s Quality Streets, and Barrett’s, Haribo and Swizzels sweets – are collected from your home to be recycled by local councils in Wales.

If you sort your recyclable items into separate containers, please place this into your container for ‘plastics and cans’. Please ensure tubs are empty before placing them inside your container to be recycled.

Individual chocolate or sweet wrappers are made a plastic film which can’t be collected to be recycled from your home.

Please place these in your bag or bin for your non-recyclable waste or some community recycling schemes such as https://www.terracycle.com/en-GB/ accept them, check near you.
